  1. Eucalyptus Oil

This essential oil has a minty-ness to it.  So, this makes it helpful for things like congestion and cold symptoms.  It is classified as an expectorant, giving it the ability to help clear the mucus out of the nasal passages.  Pregnant women should get a doctor’s permission before using this essential oil.

2. Peppermint Oil

Peppermint is of course a minty scent.  While it may seem like a good idea to use this for respiratory issues, this is actually best for a tension headache.  This essential oil is a natural anesthetic thanks to the menthol, making it effective for pain relief.

It can even be used for morning wake up. Peppermint is known for boosting your body and mind. You might be able to skip your coffee and use this oil instead. Saves you a few bucks per day from Starbucks.

3. Jasmine

This essential oil is an effective mood booster.  There is research on this oil and the conclusion is that when it is massaged into the skin, it has antidepressant effects.  Rubbing it into the shoulders after mixing it with a carrier oil is how this should be done.  On top of boosting the mood, this may also help to improve focus, attentiveness and energy.

4. Clove Oil

This is known to be helpful for toothaches and mouth sores.  For example, when a tooth is giving you pain, dabbing a bit of this in that area can help to kill the pain just as much as an oral numbing gel.  What makes this so effective for toothaches and mouth sores is its combination of antibacterial and analgesic effects.  This can also be used as a gargle to help banish bad breath.
