I love galvanic treatment.
It does not feel anything apart from metals rubbed around my skin of face at first, but the effect comes days later.
By the way, I haven’t asked my doctor yet, but actually I wonder whether galvanic can be used for treating acne?

Hi
Is it true that when you use the galvanic ion equipment, you can’t feel any tingling or vibration at all?
How do you use the galvanic ion equipment to do cleansing, absorp nutrient into skin and lifting?
In cleansing, do you need to use conductive gel or with cleansing lotion?

Well, galvanic ion is forces the ingredients into the skin. (anti-wrinkle ingredients)
Galvanic facialo is based on the basic laws of electricity, “like repels, opposites attract”
The two forces (+ and -) pull together like a magnet and push the product in to the deeper layers of the skin (the dermis) So within a few weeks your new skin cells that are coming to the surface are encapsulated with the products that you’ve pushed in your skin.
You need to apply an conductive gel or an ionized topical solution.
Without going into too much technical details, galvanic ion forces nutrients/active ingredients deep into the skin. Also galvanic ion creates heat (you might not feel that) in the body, because electricity encourages the blood flow. By increasing the metabolism, you’ll have a faster cell renewal.

Remember that gel is required for the conduction of ultrasound waves. You can also use water, but the transmission of ultrasound waves into your skin is only 20% and it dries up quickly.
But with the conductive gel, up to 90% of the ultrasound waves can be transmitted into your skin. Gel doesn’t dry that quickly and it help you move the facial machine more smooth around your face.
Purpose of ultrasound waves is to removes dead skin cells and clean up your skin pores.

Higher frequency means more power. Your body skin is ticker than the face. Some machine machines provides 3 Mhz, 1 Mhz is more than enough for a facial treatment.
You should also look at the galvanic-ion. Ultrasound only accelerates blood circulation and removes skin waste. It’s the galvanic ion that pushes the anti-oxidants and vitamin rich ingredients into your skin.
Besides, this facial machine is using a so called “Ionzyme” technology. It combines the ultrasound waves with galvanic ion, which maximizes the absorption of nutriments.

3 Mhz means 3 millions vibrations per seconds.
As you know, human body skin is ticker than the facial skin.
You don’t want such a strong vibrations going through your facial skin. 1 Mhz ( 1 million vibration per seconds) is more than enough for facial treatment. 3 Mhz is only for the body (arms, neck, and foot).
Besides, it’s important to know that the conduction of the ultrasound waves depends on the product that you use.
The transmission of ultrasonic waves in distilled water is only 60%, near 70% in glue matter, and above 70% in special conductive gel. As you can see, up to 40% of the ultrasound waves is lost by using the wrong product.
It’s no use to get a 3 Mhz or 5 Mhz ultrasound waves, if you don’t use the proper conductive gel.

Could you give me specs on a common galvanic machine?
How many amps? Is it milli amps? or is it Microamps?
How much voltage?
What frequency?
What amplitude?
What wave form? I assume no waveform becasue it is direct current. Is that correct?
I see you use it to push product into skin but can you use it without product at all?

Hello,
I am a newly graduated esthetician and my instructor just got back from a cosmetic chemistry seminar in which they went into depth about how even the simplest of topical skin products can and DO affect the lower layers of the skin.
You were right in saying that Galvanic DOES help those products permeate the skin in a more efficient fashion; however I feel it may be a bit misleading to state that most products do not permeate the stratum corneum. And, typically the stratum corneum is exfoliated in the beginning of a regimen; if done properly that in itself will help products seep into the skin past the intracellular cement in lower layers, provided the molecules are small enough and the product is used on a regular basis, every day. I hope this helps. Excuse me if i misunderstood your statements.

Audrey, you are quite correct. The skin will and does absorb chemicals
and nutrients, hormones, poisons, just whatever it is in contact with,
to a greater or lesser extent.
There are hormone patches used for birth control that absorb into the
skin, as well as nicotine patches for smokers who wish to quit.
Many household products or pesticides have warnings to avoid skin
contact.
It is also true that some chemicals or products will more or less float on
the skin surface, affecting the outer dermis layer only, which contains
a lot of dead or shedding cells which are like little sponges. To my
Knowledge, those would be heavy molecule oil products like mineral oil.
But again, many substances are of a mollecular size and will get into
the bloodstream via the skin.
It is best to research what you put on the skin, especially if you are
stimulating the outer and inner layers to absorb using galvanic
instruments, heat, laser or ultrasound.
